What Happens Each Day of Holy Week?

Holy Week
Holy Week is one of the most sacred times in the Christian calendar. It commemorates the final days of Jesus Christ’s life on Earth—His death on the cross and His resurrection. It begins on Palm Sunday and concludes on Easter Sunday.

Sunday, 13th April – Palm Sunday

Jesus enters Jerusalem and is welcomed by a crowd that acclaims Him as King. This event became known as the “Triumphal Entry.” People cheered for Him and waved palm branches.

“The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel!’” (John 12:12–13).

Bring a palm branch to be anointed and consecrated to declare that Jesus will triumphantly enter your life as well. Join us at your local Universal Church at 10am (also at 7:30am).

Monday – Cry Out of Purification with the Washing of hands

Jesus entered the Temple and overturned the tables of those who were buying and selling, driving them out.

“Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.” (Matthew 21:12)

What in your life needs to be overturned or purified? Join us for a special Cry Out of Purification, with the Washing of the Hands, at the Prosperity with God meeting.

Main service at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm).

Tuesday – The Power of Faith and the Fulfilment of the Prophecy

Jesus cursed a fig tree that bore no fruit—a symbolic act that demonstrates the power of spoken faith, even in seemingly unchangeable situations. It was not the season for figs, yet the tree appeared fruitful. Jesus used this moment to teach the disciples the power of faith (see Mark 11:12–14).

Does your well-being seem fruitless? Speak faith into your situation and join us in prayer.

Services at 7am, 10am, 3pm, and 7:30pm.

Wednesday, 16th April – The Pouring of the Perfume (with the study Defending our Faith)

Mary, the sister of Lazarus, honoured Jesus by anointing His feet with expensive perfume.

“Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair.” (John 12:3)

She gave what was most valuable to her—how about you? Also come and learn how to defend your faith as our Bible study continues. Join us for services at 7am, 10am, 3pm, and 7:30pm.

Thursday, 17th April – Washing of the Feet

On this night, Jesus shared His final meal with the disciples, leaving behind powerful lessons found in John chapters 12–18. He demonstrated love and humility by washing their feet.

“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”(John 13:14)

Join us at 8pm for a special Love Therapy seminar with the washing of the feet at the Cathedral of Miracles, Rainbow Theatre, 232 Seven Sisters Road, London N4 3NX.

Friday, 18th April – My Family at the Foot of the Cross

This solemn day marks Jesus’ arrest, trial, and crucifixion. Though He suffered greatly, His sacrifice brought salvation to humanity. At 3pm, gather with us at your nearest Universal Church as we present our families at the foot of the cross.

Saturday, 19th April – Holy Saturday

Join us on Saturday at 7am for the Collective Fast. If you can, come fasting to declare that your impossible situation will be made possible. Then, at 10am, join us for our Battalion meeting. Jesus died for all to be saved, but many are still captive. We invite you to take part in spreading the word at a Universal Church near you.

Sunday, 20th April – Life Shift Event

Jesus rose from the dead! His resurrection confirms victory over death and the promise of eternal life. Jesus’ death gave way to the greatest shift in history. Write down what area in your life needs a shift and bring it with you on the day and it will be determined that you will begin your new life through faith. Join us for the Life Shift event at your local Universal Church at 10am (also at 7:30am).
