International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on the 8 March.
To mark the occasion, a group of volunteers visited a women’s shelter and hosted a tea party for the residents.
A selection of sweet treats, such as cupcakes, and tea were served, as well as a listening ear and free pampering services.
The team of volunteers also prepared goody bags with love which were distributed to the ladies.
The environment on the day was lively and friendly, providing a comfortable experience for the beneficiaries. It was clear to see that the ladies felt special and appreciated this nice gesture.
“It was really nice; we have been volunteering at this hostel for a while now and the ladies really appreciated it. They even invited us back again!” explained one of the volunteers.
