Use your sixth sense!

6th sense

If out of the five senses that God gave to human beings (sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch), you only used one, what would your life be like?

You just have to observe a person who lives without one to know the answer. Certainly, they have to work much harder with their other senses to supply the one that is missing.

But did you know that God also gave us an extra sense which does not depend on others and most people do not use it in their daily lives? That’s right, this sixth sense is called, “faith”!

True faith does not need to see to believe. In fact, it brings into existence what does not yet exist.

“As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples (…)” (Luke 8:23-25)

The Lord Jesus was asking them where this sixth sense was. It was something God had given them.

Faith was given to us for those moments when everything is going wrong, when human strength and resources are unable to resolve the situation.

Pay attention, you who are in a boat in the middle of a storm. Instead of despairing, why don’t you use your faith?

Jesus taught us, by example, that faith is above nature. That’s why everything is possible for those who believe.

Faith sustains you. It is the sense we use in difficult moments. So, we ignore what we see, what we feel, and we cling to the Word of God.

Jesus asks you today like He did many years ago to His disciples: “Where is your faith?”

Take your faith out of the drawer, dust it off and use it. You will be amazed at the results!
