In the early hours of Monday, 19 August, a celebration turned into tragedy when a luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily, Italy.
The 56-metre yacht was carrying 22 people and was anchored in the port of Porticello, near Palermo, when it capsized during a severe storm.
Thankfully, fifteen people survived and were give medical attention.
This devastating event serves as a lesson to all of us that no matter how much we strive to prolong life, death comes for us all, regardless of lifestyle, wealth, or anything else.
It comes for the rich and the poor, the good and the bad. However, the Word of God brings us hope.
God gave His Son, Jesus, so that we may live with Him eternally:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
When a person approaches the Altar with sincerity and deposits their life in His hands, He accepts them and gives them a new life.
You can make the decision to cling to the Lord Jesus right now, with a sincere prayer, surrendering your life.
