The two types of faith.

Two types of faith

Faith is beyond mere knowledge of the Holy Scriptures or a zealous religiosity, it requires a deep level of trust and dependency on God’s Word.

God placed faith within every human being, however, similar to intelligence, it has to be developed. After all, there’s no point in having immense power, such as faith, if you don’t know how to use it in order to see results.

This week in all our Universal Churches, those who attended our Bible study learnt about the two types of faith:

  • The faith that obeys
  • The faith that demands its rights

The faith that obeys is the faith of Abraham, who after having heard the voice of God once, immediately left everything behind. This kind of faith trusts and obeys even without understanding. It also qualifies someone to receive and maintain the Presence of God within.

Moreover, the faith that exercises its right is the faith of Hannah, who did not accept emptiness to fill that which God promised to fill. Every Christian, who lives in accordance with the will of God has the right to the promises in His Word.

However, having the right does not mean that you will automatically receive it, you must use your faith and claim it.

When Hannah reached the point of not being able to take her situation any longer, faith that demands its rights was activated. She went to the temple of God, boldly made her petition and made a vow with Him.

Both types of faith are important, as it will guarantee your place in the Kingdom of Heaven and generate a life with the fullness of God here on earth.
