The Power of the Name of Jesus

Praying to Jesus

There is unmatched power in the Name of Jesus. The Bible states in Philippians 2:9, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.” The Name of Jesus carries authority and life-changing power that can break through even the most difficult situations. When His Holy Name is spoken with faith, it isn’t just a religious act but it is a direct call to the One who conquered death, calmed storms, restored the broken, and made the blind see.

The Bible is filled with testimonies of healing through the power of Jesus’ Name. In Acts 3, Peter and John encountered a man who had been lame from birth. He sat daily at the temple gate, asking for money. However, on that day, he received something far greater. Peter said to him, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6). Immediately, the man was healed; he stood, walked and leapt for the first time in his life.

In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus promised that those who believe in Him will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover – in His Name. From the blind receiving sight to the deaf hearing again, every miracle was made possible through faith in the authority of Jesus. The good news is that the power in His Name is as real today as it was over 2,000 years ago.

At the Universal Church, we believe that the power of the Name of Jesus is not limited to the past. We also understand that health battles can be overwhelming, which is why we are starting a special series focused on health and well-being called “The 5 Tuesdays of the Name of Jesus.”

Each Tuesday will focus on a letter in His powerful Name as we explore and unlock the spiritual authority it brings and teach you how to use your faith as a complement to any medical treatment you may be receiving.

Join us for this spiritual journey of empowerment and transformation at your nearest Universal Church.

Please note that the Universal Church’s spiritual advice is to be seen as a complement to the scientifically proven treatment you may be receiving. The Universal Church does not claim to heal people but believes that God can through the power of faith. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.

Event: The 5 Tuesdays of the Name of Jesus
Day and time: Tuesdays at 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm)
