Are you feeling burdened by the guilt of a mistake you have committed? Maybe no matter how hard you try you are unable to forgive yourself or you feel a sense of hopelessness.
The Word of God teaches us that it’s not about the size of your error, but it’s what you choose to do about it going forward. Whether you will dwell on the past and continue practising the same mistake, or if you will choose to turn away from it:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,” (1 John 1:9 NKJV)
So, if you are ready to acknowledge your wrongdoings, confess them to God and decide not to repeat them again, God will restore your strength and give you another chance.
Putting yourself down for things you cannot go back and change will only hold you back. In fact, the Holy Spirit is more displeased when you condemn yourself, than you choosing to let go and move on.
Do you wish to start or renew your relationship with the Holy Spirit? On Sunday, 8 October at 10am (also at 7:30am) we will be taking part of the Lord’s Supper, an opportunity for you to do exactly that.
This is a special ceremony created by the Lord Jesus Himself so that we can remember our covenant with Him and that one day He will return:
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes,” (1 Corinthians 11:26 NKJV)
If you have been far from the presence of God, this is the opportunity for you to draw close to Him, telling Him exactly what is happening inside of you. For those who already have a commitment with Him, this ceremony will be a time of reflection and renewal.
We look forward to seeing you at your local Universal Church.
