Many will agree that one of the worst experiences that human beings can go through is the tragedy of a parent burying their child. You could even say that this pain is multiplied when this child was their only one.
One of the most well-known verses in the Bible tell us that this is exactly what God did for us:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV)
This is arguably the most important verse in the word of God, as it summarises the entire Bible.
God was able to do this with His only Son, not because He wanted to punish His Son but because He wanted to give all of us a way out. So that no one would have to perish in hell, a place which was not created for human beings to go to.
The worst thing about hell is not the fire or the torment that those who go there will go through, but rather it’s the total absence of God.
The good news is that during our short stay here on earth, we all have the opportunity to assume our faith in Him, by surrendering our existence to His word. No matter what you may have done in your past, God is willing to give you a new life and to forgive you the moment that you turn to Him.
In fact, by doing this you will not only obtain your stay in eternal rest, but the Holy Spirit will also come to give you peace in the midst of all the obstacles you may face here on earth.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to secure your place in the Kingdom of Heaven, a gift which has been left for every single one of us to inherit, that is if we surrender our lives to God.
