Everyone knows that fruit is the result of what was planted. Therefore, if someone intends to harvest a particular fruit, they need to plant its seed.
The fruit of faithfulness is yet another form of love. That is, those who love are faithful to whom they love, regardless of the circumstances they may be in.
When a person is not faithful to their spouse, this causes substantial effects in their relationship, such as loss of trust, intimacy and can even result in a breakup.
The same can be said when one lacks faithfulness in their relationship with God. It can cause significant consequences, such as spiritual weakness and leaves the person feeling far from God.
Faithfulness is a key quality of the character of God and is evident in the life of those who have had a personal experience with Him, as highlighted in the book of Galatians:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV)
The Fruit of the Holy Spirit in a person’s character, is a result of an encounter with God. To achieve this, deep and continuous investment in the Word of God and alone time with the Holy Spirit is necessary. In other words, God speaks to those who are willing to listen.
If you want to learn how you can draw closer to the Holy Spirit and subsequently attain this fruit, you are invited to attend the Bible Study taking place at your local Universal Church.
Bring your Bible and arrive 15 minutes before the service starts so you can prepare your mind. We look forward to seeing you there.
