After the creation of the world, do you know what the first thing was that God began to do? He began to create a separation – between light and darkness, night and day, dry land and seas. This was so that there might be order on earth.
Likewise, for there to be order in your life, a separation is necessary and this starts with placing God in His rightful place, which is first.
On Sunday, 1 October, “The Feast of the Firstfruits” will take place so that you can decide to place God first in your life. All those who have this pact with God, will be consecrated with blessed oil, a sign of God’s presence guiding and protecting your life.
For you who consider God as first, this decision goes far beyond the physical act of separating your Firstfruits for God, but it’s an expression of your gratitude and dependency on Him:
“I regard the Feast of the Firstfruits to be one of the most special ceremonies we have in the church. I have decided to be faithful to God, not only out of obedience to His Word, but as an outward expression of my love and appreciation towards Him,” described an assistant of the church.
“For me, the Feast of the Firstfruits is a moment of remembrance, where I can give thanks for all that He’s done and provided for me. From the things that I prayed for and received, to the blessings that I didn’t even expect or ask Him for, this ceremony is where I return to Him the honour He deserves,” explained a member of the church.
The Feast will be taking place in all our Universal Churches at 10am (also at 7:30am). If you do not yet have this commitment with God, why not start a new month by making a new and very important decision?
