Most problems which occur daily are not caused by mere coincidence – there could be evil behind that situation.
One of the root causes to the issues that people face is envy – a feeling of disgust caused by someone else’s happiness or prosperity. Those who have this feeling carry within themselves an immense desire to have what does not belong to them and is not rightfully theirs:
“For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.” (James 3:16 NKJV)
Envy is a dark feeling that has devastated the lives of many people and their families. The envious person may walk by your side and praise your work ethic, family and may even comment on your photos, however deep down, they desire your downfall and everything you have.
This feeling affects both the person experiencing it and the victim of it; however, the Word of God protects us from this evil.

This Friday (23) we will be commencing a 7-week Chain of Prayer, “To Combat and Protect Against Envy”. To take part of this purpose, join us every week at your local Universal Church.
To make the most of this purpose, you are encouraged to attend every week without breaking the chain. Furthermore, you are invited to present a fast to God before the service, if your health permits. Always follow your doctor’s advice.
