places of worship, spreading the Christian faith, UCKG,
In order to address questions we have been receiving in regard to COVID-19, the UCKG HelpCentre in the UK would like to state the following:
The UCKG is aware and continues to follow the development of measures that are being considered and implemented to prevent and contain the spread of COVID- 19 on a national and international scale.
Having regard to these measures, the church is putting into practice in its places of worship and workspaces, the steps described below to enable it to continue its work as normally as possible:
In addition, we are in direct e-communications with our sister churches in nations where the number of COVID-19 cases has already led to the implementation of stricter measures to contain the spread of the virus, in order to be better prepared.
Without prejudice to the measures above, the UCKG cannot neglect its social duty to provide spiritual support and be an open door to those who feel desperate and would like our help. We offer a safe haven to those who feel they need encouragement and advice in such a difficult time. Nonetheless, we recognise that we must comply in our faith services with British government rules and procedures affecting public gatherings.
ENDS
