Imagine having the opportunity to sit with the king, how would you prepare yourself? What will you wear? We are sure that you won’t let this offer pass you by nor will you take it lightly, since it would be a great privilege for you like anyone else.
Although this scenario may be far-fetched from reality, it helps us understand the prominence of sitting with Jesus and the fact that He invites us to dine with Him daily, He said:
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” (Luke 22:19)
Jesus encourages the continual practice of the Lord’s Supper, as it demonstrates an opportunity to dine with Him, an opportunity for us to sit at the table with Him (theoretically speaking). It is through the sacrifice of His body (bread) and His blood (grape juice) that we are able to have an intimate relationship with God.
Kings and queens are always in high-prestige places, but Jesus the King of Kings (Revelation 19:16) made Himself meek, through His sacrifice we can become reconciled with God.
If you want to renew your relationship with God or you find yourself at a stage where you want to know God on a personal level, no matter where you are we invite you to come to this special service with the Lord’s Supper.
Will you take up the offer to dine with the King?
