Recently, in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, the Universal Church held the “Revival Night” event.
The meeting took place at the city’s Palace of Culture, where around 700 people were present and approximately four tons of food were distributed.
On the occasion, Bishop Gilcimar Taborda, currently responsible for the evangelistic work in the country, explained the meaning of the Cross and the importance of true repentance.
The Universal Church arrived in Russia for the first time in 1997. Since then, the work has been carried out with seriousness and a lot of effort, as it happens in all parts of the world.
Currently, there are 10 churches spread across the country. Moscow (headquarters of the country, where work is carried out in Russian and Portuguese), Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Korolyov, Zelenograd, Vladimir, Elista, Kursk, Murom, Obninsk, Zelenograd, Jeleznodorojny, Podolsk and Karolov.
Meetings are held daily in the local language, Russian. The Universal Church also constantly provides assistance to those most in need in Russia through a variety of community projects.
Every year, tons of food are distributed and not just that, blood donation campaigns are also carried out. As a result, thousands have already been assisted and had their needs met, managing to re-establish their lives.
