Nowadays Easter means different things to different people. Some take it as a time to relax, or choose to stick to their traditions. While others take it as the perfect opportunity to gorge on chocolate eggs and put on a spectacular Easter bunny treasure hunt spread to post on Instagram. To each their own…
But isn’t this period supposed to stand for the penultimate moment in humanity where everything changed? The very moment where the Son of God takes on the sin of the world, dies, rises again declaring victory for all those who believe in Him? Why does the suffering continue to suffer?
Perhaps in the midst of all the commercial hype, most have forgotten the true spirit of this period and in so doing have also forgotten the great victory that was conquered for them.
Thankfully, God does not forget!
At the pinnacle of His suffering, the Lord Jesus made it a point to remember the most rejected and despised in society. So, if you’re feeling rejected, invisible, neglected, abandoned, a lost case or too unimportant to be fussed over, we want you to know that GOD REMEMBERS YOU! YES, YOU!
