“But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” (Exodus 17:12)
In the midst of battle, when Moses could no longer hold up his arms so the people of Israel would prevail, 2 men (Aaron and Hur) stepped in and held his arms up. Consequently, Israel won the battle.
This begs the question: Who do you have by your side? Sometimes it feels like we are surrounded by people, but are they really going to hold you up and when can’t stand up by yourself.
Make sure that those who you call friends, are people who serve the same God that you do, and that will have God’s word in their mouth to lift you up when you are down.
Remember: When it comes to friends, what matters is QUALITY not QUANTITY.
