have a positive mindset,
Human beings are driven by their dreams. Hardly anyone works for something if there is no goal to be achieved. Nonetheless, until it comes to fruition there is a process, a path full of obstacles and difficult situations to face.
Keep reading to learn about 3 obstacles that try to make you give up on your dreams and how to overcome them.
1- Negative feelings: fear, discouragement, sadness, doubts
A Biblical example of someone who faced something like this was Hannah. She dreamed of having children, but she was barren and constantly teased by Peninnah, who insisted on humiliating her. For a while, she gave into those negative comments: she cried, didn’t eat, and allowed her emotions to get the best of her. However, she was able to change her story the moment she decided to stop victimising herself and to have a positive mindset (Read 1 Samuel 1:2-28).
2- Humiliations and/or provocations
If you’re in debt, depending on others financially or have faced countless rejections you will probably hear provocations, usually from those around you. However, did you know that people who tease you actually bless you? If you choose to use the humiliation as a drive to move forward and see results.
3- Negative words
Don’t allow negative words to discourage you. When we read the Bible, we discover words that will uplift us even in our hardest moments. The Word of God gives us direction, vision and empowerment to go after our dreams, especially when the circumstances around us are intimidating and chances of success seem to be impossible.
