“Let every man give according to the purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

To give offerings is a voluntary act; no one is forced, but does so out of the goodness of their heart. Giving offering is also a thermometer of one’s appreciation of God, but can be given for many different reasons, for example thanksgiving offerings or offerings seeking a specific answer.
