Have you noticed how many strange events have been occurring around the world in the news lately?
In fact, all of the unprecedented happenings have stirred up an even weightier question – could all of these simultaneous events suggest that something abnormal is happening to the planet?
Earlier this year, in mid-July, hundreds of salmon and trout appeared dead on the Cowichan River, on Vancouver Island in Canada. This place was famous for the large number of clustered fish there. However, when the water level dropped and the temperature increased, this caused the unexpected death of the fish.
It is also worth remembering that this year we had the El Nino and the three hottest days ever recorded on the planet. Furthermore, the hottest period recorded since 1940 occurred between June and August. As a consequence, fires kindled in Canada, Spain, Greece, Italy and the United States.
An earthquake that struck Morocco on the 8 September, left at least 2,800 people dead, completely destroying cities in the vicinity. More than 300,000 people have been affected and the rescue teams are still racing to find survivors.
These are only a few of the long list of tragedies which have taken place in the last few months but what exactly is going on in the world?
The Bible speaks of these things and warns us that they would be the signs of the end days. God made the announcement not because He takes pleasure in the destruction of humanity, but so that people would repent of their wrong ways and receive a chance at salvation.
Some say that global warming is not about “religion” but about science. This is true, but the phenomena occurring is still a prophecy which is being fulfilled.
The return of the Lord Jesus is imminent which is why investing in our relationship with Him and the salvation of our soul is urgent now more than ever. The lessons you will receive at this meeting will guide you on how you can stay prepared for this most anticipated event, which is the rapture. Bring a paper Bible with you, so that you can follow along during the time of the message, as well as a notebook and pen to make notes.
