Microchipping: From sci-fi to reality?

technology is changing,

mircochipping sci fi reality

The Confederation of British Industry, Britain’s biggest employer organisation and main trade union body, has shown growing concern over the prospect of British companies implanting staff with microchips to improve security.

This concern comes after Hampshire-based firm BioTeq admitted having fitted 150 microchips in the UK; according to the firm, these chips – much like the ones implanted in pets – enable people to open their front doors, access their offices, or start their cars with just the wave of a hand. They can also store medical data. This concept, although we relate it to something from 1980’s and 1990’s sci-fi movies, could be the next big thing amongst companies.

The firm Biohax of Sweden told the Sunday Telegraph that it is currently in discussions with various British legal and financial firms about fitting their employees with microchips, including one major company with hundreds of thousands of employees.

A spokesperson for the CBI is quoted as saying that while technology is changing the way we work, this makes for distinctly uncomfortable reading. Instead, firms should be concentrating on more immediate priorities and focusing on engaging their employees.

The General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress, Frances O’Grady, has said that the main problems with microchipping employees is that staff may be coerced into doing so and the growing concern that some employers are using tech to control and micromanage, thus whittling away their staffs’ rights to privacy. O’Grady said that thereare obvious risks involved, and employers must not brush them aside or pressure staff into being chipped.

With the technology that we have today, companies have a very hard time making data protection 100% safe. Who can guarantee that these biochips won’t be just as susceptible to leaks as the technology we have now? Who can guarantee that the people who have access to the data won’t use it for harmful purposes?

However, no matter how concerned people are about this new form of control, it still feels as though its implantation on the general public is unavoidable. The economic and political control that it would bring to governments is unprecedented, whilst also making it easier for people to handle their affairs on a daily basis.

But would you give up your liberty and control over your everyday life just to make things a little easier?

The Bible talks about this form of control, which would mark the end of times. It says that every person would have to abide to a new form of government and economics, wherein no one would be able to buy or sell if they do not compromise to this form of control. This means that every form of currency and personal financial transaction would be focused on one single object (Revelation 13:17).

For those who believe in the prophecy, this means giving up not only your personal freedoms but also the salvation of your soul.
