follow the Bible,
American lobster diver Michael Packard, was swallowed whole by a humpback whale for around 30-40 seconds. He thought he was going to die, but luckily survived the whole ordeal.
This incident carries a small resemblance to the story of Jonah from the Bible. Jonah ended up stuck in the belly of a fish for 3 days and 3 nights as a consequence of not obeying God’s instructions. Showing us that bad decisions can lead to negative results. If we follow what we want to do instead of what God tells us to do, we lead ourselves to the belly of the fish – to terrible consequences.
Jonah lived like God owed him something, he was always complaining – people like this don’t get very far. If you are obedient God will accept you, and if you repent from your disobedient ways, God will give you another chance. Don’t be like Jonah, whom when God showed mercy – he was still ungrateful.
Our decisions will always have consequences, if we follow the Bible and show God we are willing to make decisions that please Him, God will help us. However, something that won’t work with God are ‘shortcuts’. Faithfulness to the Word of God will ensure we fulfil our duties as expected, without any shortcuts.
