On Saturday 29th July, the Liberty Event was hosted in our Universal Church in Nottingham. It was an exhilarating event which welcomed 112 members of the community, many of whom had never visited the church before.
The volunteers who worked together to make this event happen were divided between the several stalls which offered a variety of activities.
The list of activities provided were endless, including pampering for the seniors, blood pressure checks, free clothes, face painting for the children, as well as song and dance performances by the Victory Youth Group (VYG).
The weekly food bank was taking place as normal and the locals were invited to collect food parcels and light refreshments. Furthermore, the locals were pleased to attend the Grand Opening of the new Soup Kitchen with the presence of the Sheriff of Nottingham, who also attended the event.
This jam-packed event was a huge success and benefitted the attendees and their families, who look forward to returning to the Universal Church.
