Last-minute decisions

lord supper decision
How long does it take for a decision to be made? Years, months or days? In reality, it can be made in a matter of seconds. It’s mounting up the courage to do so that takes time. But in one minute, everything could change once a decision is finally made…

April 14th 1912, was the day the RMS Titanic had a tragic end. The watchman assigned to spot icebergs did not have any binoculars – they were locked inside a locker that had a missing key. This was because just before the Titanic had set course, it was decided that the officer needed to be replaced and, in the rush, he didn’t hand over the locker key. One small oversight ended up having a deadly impact on over 1,500 people and this could have been avoided if one simple decision had been made.

Yes, small decisions have the power to impact our lives and the lives of others, this is one of the reasons we must make sure we are making the correct ones for our lives. A bad decision could alter the course of our lives. Imagine, history can be changed in a fraction of a second, and you will have to live with the results of this decision.

During the Last Supper, Judas had the chance to make a last-minute decision (Matt. 26:23-26), however, he decided to make the wrong one. He was given a chance to repent and change his ways but dismissed it and brought upon himself a tragic death (Matt. 27:3-5).

God doesn’t take pleasure in seeing those who do wrong suffer (Ezek. 18:23). He calls out to them and asks them to turn away from their evil ways and live. One decision to do what is right can change the story of your life – it’s all up to you.

On Sunday, April 4th at 10am, we will be holding the Lord’s Supper of Decision in all of our UCKG HelpCentres. If you recognise that you have been making wrong decisions that have displeased God and caused you harm, or if you decide to preserve yourself to walk in holiness, this day will be the day of decision for you. You will have the opportunity to take part in the Lord’s Supper in a way you never thought of before.

God already showed us what difference one decision can make, can we not do the same in return?
