In a world that encourages everyone to place themselves first (their needs, dreams and desires) it is hard to find people who consider other people’s necessities before theirs, much less those who remember to honour God.
Honouring God requires personal sacrifice, as it involves letting go of your ego, plans and everything else that represents you. Only then, when a decision of total surrender to God’s will has been made, will He then be able to manifest His power and fulfil His promises.
The month of June will be the “Month of Honour” in the Universal Church worldwide – for those who wish to place themselves in second place and put God first.
We can find countless passages that speak about the significance of honouring God and the benefits that proceed from such action:
“(…) those who honour Me I will honour, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” (1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV)
