In an interview with Wired magazine, well-known director Steven Spielberg commented on the reason why he has detoxed from social media:
“Technology can be our best friend but it can also be the biggest party pooper of our lives. He said. “It interrupts our own story, interrupts our ability to have a thought or a daydream, to imagine something wonderful because we’re too busy bridging the walk from the cafeteria back to the office on the cell phone.”
Has the usage of social media been a daylight robbery of our creative imagination? Or have you allowed it to steal away the time you should have with God?
In Biblical times there was a need to stop what they were doing to hear God speak; the disciples in the Upper Room, Moses by the burning bush, Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days, etc. Despite the lack of distraction back then compared to now, how much more do we need to stop to hear God’s voice?
It’s the final week of the 21 Days Fast of Daniel, have you really stopped to hear the voice of God? Or will you allow these last few days of the fast to pass you by?
Make the most of this final week of the Fast of Daniel, by doing the following:
• Meditating on the Word of God
• Watching the special Be Inspired program
• Reading a book of faith
• Attending the church services throughout the week
