Don’t start before completing Challenge #51.
If you want to join the IntelliMen Project, start from Challenge #1.
Challenge: Organize a men-only get together where you can explain how the IntelliMen Project has helped you, and motivate them to do it themselves.
Explanation: Invite friends over to watching a game. Go out and eat pizza on a Friday night. Get together at church with some other men you know. Take a Saturday morning bike ride together. Make a presentation for your office employees in the boardroom.
No matter the idea to bring men together, find one.
The idea is to gather some friends or colleagues together and then talk to them for 5 or 10 minutes about the IntelliMen Project.
“Hey, Richard, Joe, Paul… how about watching the game at my house this weekend? There’ll be snacks and drinks. Afterward I want to say a few words about this cool project I’ve been doing. You up for it?”
Suggest something that’s hard to refuse. Men like relaxing, having fun, interesting activities, and of course… free food. Be creative and generous. Gather as many guys as you can.
For the day of the get together, print a few of copies the IntelliMen Manifestos. When you speak it, be short and objective. Get straight to the point and be enthusiastic. “Shoot! My team lost but listen to this. I’ve been doing something really interesting this past year, and it really helped me. It’s called the IntelliMen Project. At first I didn’t expect much, but listen to what happened… (talk about your positive experiences.) And so, since this helped me so much, and one of the final challenges is to share the good that it did for me with others, I’d like to give you a copy of the Manifesto so you can decide for yourselves whether or not you want to join in. And by the way, it’s free, you don’t have to pay a thing!”
If they’re really into it, you can read the Manifesto with them. If not, just let them take it home. They’re bound to have questions about how it works, but since you’ve been at it for a year now you’ll be able to give them a good answer.
Do a good job at encouraging them to join. Your challenge is to get at least one friend to join the project. Do your very best! This challenge is your “baptism” into IntelliMen — proof of your ability to continue this chain of wholesomeness. Don’t break the chain!
Then, prepare yourself for the last challenge in one week!
Notebook: Ideas to organize the get together: write all the names of the friends, family members and colleagues you could invite to the get together or to participate in an activity of interest to them. Look at all the contacts on your cell phone and in your computer, for example, and write down all the names that you could include in the list. Decide what you’re going to do. Schedule the date and time, and invite everyone.
Official Partner: You and your partner can do this challenge together, bringing both of your guests together. It will be excellent because on the day of the presentation you can both talk about your experiences. But if distance doesn’t allow you to do this, then you can do it individually.
Deadline: You may begin working on this challenge immediately. You have one month to complete it.
Post: After – and only after – you have completed the challenge, post your comments on the IntelliMenWorld Facebook or Twitter page, (not on your own page) and write the following:
IntelliMen Challenge #52 done: I had the get together with my friends and I got ** (number) of them to start on the project (Add any other comment in regards.)
