Recent changes to the NHS waiting times for patients to see a doctor to receive a diagnosis for cancer has stirred up apprehension in the UK.
The aim of replacing the two-week cancer appointment target with this new standard is that patients would be diagnosed and treated sooner.
However, these changes could mean that patients would have to wait longer to see a doctor, making an already difficult experience for many much harder.
Sickness and the process of diagnosis with an incurable disease can be a very stressful and challenging time for both patients and their families.
For patients, fighting an incurable disease such as cancer can mean significant changes to their day-to-day life and for family members the responsibility of caring for their loved ones can be very daunting.
It is important that you are aware of all the support available to you during this unprecedented period of your life.
