cry out to God, establish a business, God, Lord, Moses, natural instinct, supernatural power, UCKG, very real facts,
There is something particularly frustrating about dealing with financial problems. Whether it’s debts, unemployment, struggling to open or establish a business, or just making enough money to make ends meet, not being able to resolve these matters can leave you feeling like you’re stuck between a ‘Red Sea’ of problems before you and multitude of problems behind you!
What to do?
Our natural instinct is either to grin and bear it, hoping for the best, scramble for every resource available to us and succumb to depending on others or cry out to God, stand still and wait for deliverance from the Lord!
Choosing any of these options often leads only to more frustration. Don’t misunderstand us: it’s good to hang in there and it’s important to know what resources are available to you. As for consulting God? Well, that is a must! BUT you can’t forget that the most effective weapon to hand is your rod (faith).
When Moses stood before the Red Sea with the Egyptians hot on his trail, he cried out to God and stood there waiting for Him to swoop in and fix everything. But God reminded Moses that, against his faith, this seemingly impossible obstacle could be nullified by the mere lifting of his rod.
“The Lord said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel, so that they go forward. And as for you, lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it; then the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea’” (Exodus 14:15,16)
The rod represents our faith. When we do not doubt, it has the power to make the most impossible of situations into very real facts. It creates opportunities when there are none and inspires us to act against the odds and win.
So, how can you get this supernatural power inside you to work in your favour when it comes to your finances? How can you lift up your rod, stretch out your hand and cause the ‘Red Sea”, standing between you and financial freedom, to part?
