Altar, altar of God, Jesus was crucified, sacrificed,
Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:2)
Abraham didn’t hesitate to obey God. He took his only son, climbed Mount Moriah, prepared the altar and in his heart, he sacrificed his son.
What he did was the typification of God’s sacrifice. He inspired the Lord. God tested Abraham and found a love that was very similar to His own, in him.
Abraham sacrificed Isaac on Mount Moriah. He believed that even if Isaac died, God could bring his son back to life.
That moment was so profound, that God sacrificed His own Son on that same mountain.
Calvary, where Jesus was crucified, is a higher extension of Mount Moriah. God had to do even more than Abraham had done; He sacrificed His only begotten Son and brought Him back to life.
Is any area of your life dead?
On the altar of God, it can be brought back to life.
Or perhaps you are like a zombie, the living dead.
You can be brought back to life on the altar.
Everything that you could possibly need is on the altar.
God bless you.
