The Holy Scriptures show us that every house is built by someone and that God is the One who built all things (see Hebrews 3:4). Physically, we know that all buildings were designed and built by architects and engineers who worked to make those places habitable and comfortable.
When it comes to the families who live in these places, it’s no different. A family is not born by chance. The Word of God states that a wise woman builds her home (see Proverbs 14:1) and that the wife of a man who fears God shall be like a fruitful vine, and their children like olive plants around the table (see Psalm 128:3).
In other words, a house must be built not only by men and women but also by God, for the Bible states that “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1). This means that if someone tries to build a home only with their strength, that home will collapse when the winds and storms come, just like a castle built on sand.
Therefore, if you want to build a strong home, you must unite your strength with the great Builder: God. And you can do it even if your “castle made of sand” has already collapsed, as His Word says: “The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former…” (Haggai 2:9). If you believe, God will guide you every step of the way and, through faith, He will add each “brick” to the building of your blessed life.
