Cameron Robbins was on a cruise celebrating his high school graduation. A video recorded by one of the witnesses catches the young man swimming during the night. A buoy has been dropped, but it disappears after a few minutes.
The Royal Bahamas Defense Force and US Southeast Coast Guard Team conducted searches, but they were called off. Authorities considered the boy dead.
In cases like this, we realise that it is no coincidence that the Bible guides in several passages that young people should seek wisdom and be prudent.
“Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded…” (Titus 2:6)
“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil…” (Exodus 23:2)
After all, it is in our youth that people need to make the most important choices in their lives that will have a great impact on their future. An action like the one in the news above could put everything to lose.
Everyone is free to do what they want, but no one is exempt from the consequences their actions bring.
If you want to make wise choices as a young person that you won’t regret you can participate in our weekly Victory Youth Group meetings that takes place every Wednesday at 6pm – Real Talk meeting and Sunday’s at 1.30pm Sunday Live.
Each meeting helps young people engage in understanding the word of God for their lives and how to reach their fullest potential through it.
