Of all the gates in Old Jerusalem, the Damascus Gate stands out as the most significant, and its meaning may hold the key to the life change you have been longing for. Located to the north of the Old City and renowned for its beauty, this gate served as the exit point to Damascus, the capital of Syria. However, its spiritual significance far outweighs its historical and aesthetic value.
The Damascus Gate faces Mount Calvary, making it very likely that the Lord Jesus passed through it when He willingly sacrificed Himself for us. If God gave His Son for us, we shall lack nothing. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23: 1)
