In the heat of the moment, Love Therapy seminar, making important decisions,
Living by what you feel, going with the flow, following your heart etc – this is usually what many people associate with love. People are encouraged by books, TV shows, songs and films to let their hearts lead them when making important decisions in their love lives.
The problem with this is that giving in to your emotions and following your heart often leaves behind a trail of regrets and needless heartache. Louise Redknapp knows exactly how this feels, after commenting on her hasty decision to end her 21-year marriage following her time on dance show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Three years on, she states, “I didn’t want to lose so much of the good feeling. Before anyone could stop me, I just ran, as fast as the wind would take me. I never once looked behind, until maybe too late.
I should have paused for a minute and thought about other people and had just a bit more time to work out why I felt I couldn’t do it anymore. All I know is, I wish I’d tried [to save the marriage].”*
In the heat of the moment, the heart speaks louder but will never warn about the damage that listening to it can cause. It is only now after three years that Louise has come to regret the way she ‘ran’ from her marriage, instead of taking time to think.
This is just one example of why intelligence should be applied regarding matters of the heart, and intelligent love is what is taught at the Love Therapy seminars on Thursdays. As we are learning from the various couples in the book of Genesis, we are going back to the beginning to learn what to do and what not to do in love.
As it has been said, “The wise man learns from the mistakes of others,” so join us for the Love Therapy seminar, where we will continue extracting valuable lessons for your love life.
