As we approach the cooler months, experts say that the UK should prepare for a big, early wave of the flu.
Many countries in the southern hemisphere just had their winter and experienced what is said to be the most rampant flu season for years.
Therefore, health experts are urging everyone to take the necessary precautions to avoid getting sick or spreading illness around.
There are multiple ways you can avoid getting sick, besides taking care of your general health by practising healthy habits such as drinking sufficient water, eating healthy, exercising and taking supplements.
During this season it is also advisable to avoid close contact with those who are sick, and if they live with you, you can try not to use the same rooms as them at the same time until they get better.
Ensuring you wash or sanitise your hands regularly is essential, to eliminate germs that could potentially enter your body.
A good time to lather up would be before, during and after preparing food, after using the bathroom and after you cough or sneeze.
Taking care of your body will not only impede you from catching an unwanted virus, but it’s also a way in which you can please God, for He says in His word:
“(…) Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV)
