What is the significance of the Anointing Oil and how can it benefit you?
To answer this question, one must simply go to the Word of God, which contains various accounts of the Anointing Oil (which symbolises the Holy Spirit).
Initially, it was exclusively used for the Priests and the articles in the Tabernacle (Exodus 30:30). However, its use was later extended for the consecration of kings, symbolising the power, wisdom and protection of God being bestowed upon them.
There is more! In the New Testament, there are various scriptures that encourage the usage of Anointing Oil:
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14 NKJV)
It is important to note that Anointing Oil does not contain any magical properties but it is a way to demonstrate your faith and trust in God.
Similarly, in our weekly health services, the Pastor anoints those who are sick in the name of the Lord Jesus. When the Anointing Oil is combined with your faith, it can produce great results.
This Tuesday in all our Universal Churches, there will be the ‘Anointing for the Protection of Body, Soul & Spirit’. If you would like to pray on behalf of a loved one that is sick or in pain, bring their photos to the service.
This service is for everyone, no matter your age, gender or religious background. Come to the service with an open mind and a willingness to use your faith.
