A proposal for all who suffer with a void in their soul!

Day to fill the void news 1

Have you ever wondered what causes a void in the soul and how it can be filled?

With an attempt to mask this internal conflict, many turn to work, substance abuse, designer clothing, a new car or even hobbies, yet are frustrated by their lack of fulfilment.

It turns out that these feelings of emptiness, even if camouflaged by various achievements, relationships or other external factors, do not disappear the more a person tries to ignore it.

In fact, the more a person seeks comfort and joy in hopeless outlets, the more loneliness and sadness prevails. This is because the solution to this anguish is not in what can be seen, but rather in what is unseen.

Bishop Edir Macedo better explains this subject in his book:

“Every day we deal with people in the prime of life who are shaken by a diagnosis of an incurable disease, a betrayal, divorce or the loss of a loved one. Their possessions, social status, and beauty fail to give them the strength to react to life’s adversities in the right way.” – The Secrets and Mysteries of the Soul, Bp. Edir Macedo

There is an immensity of emptiness in the world and although the options for what to satisfy the soul with are endless, many find themselves in an abyss of despair. Not even the social condition or wealth of a person can alleviate the pain that they feel in their soul.

The only way to put an end to this situation and fill the void once and for all is through a true encounter with the Spirit of God. In fact, the emptiness that exists in the human soul is the size of the Presence of God. That’s why various attempts to fill it with anything else are ineffective.

For those who identify with this topic, a proposal to quench this thirst was presented last Sunday. The ‘Day to Fill the Void’ took place in all our local Universal Churches, offering everyone the opportunity to encounter the peace which comes from God:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NKJV)

There was a moment dedicated to praying in favour of all those who suffer with the issues mentioned in this article. As well as the weekly empowering message based on the Word of God, the prayer for your family and for your water.

If you missed this service, not to worry! Visit your local Universal Church this week for any of the services, most importantly the Sunday Morning meeting.

Pastors and Assistants will be available after the service to offer you a free 1-2-1 session of spiritual advice and guide you on your next steps. You are not alone.

Check out our timetable to find which service most applies to your situation.
