Sunday, 7 July, saw the inauguration of a new Universal Church branch in the city of Anjo, province of Aichi, Japan. The city has a population of about 200,000. The special service was led by Bishop Alexandre Teixeira, who is currently responsible for the work of the Universal Church in the country, together with Pastors Bruno Balbuena, Fabio Ribeiro and Fabio Matsusaki.
As they noted in the service, the importance of the inauguration of a new Universal Church is not only due to the physical building itself (which facilitates people’s access to the knowledge of God’s Word and faith) but also due to the lives that will be transformed by the presence of the Almighty, whose greatest longing is to form temples within mankind.
