Paradise on earth

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were reluctant to make sacrifices in order to obey God’s voice, and so they lost paradise.

The Bible says: “Cursed is the ground on account of you; in hard labour you will eat of it.” (Genesis 3.17)

This has been the life of all those who disobey.

Abraham sacrificed – he obeyed God’s voice – and so he lived in paradise here on Earth. He enjoyed life in its fullness and died at a good, old age after countless days. In eternity, “Abraham’s Bosom” is a synonym for paradise itself (Luke 16.22).

The Abrahamic faith shows that you don’t need to wait until you get to eternity to live in paradise. Paradise can start here, but there is a price to enter and remain there: your obedience.

We have seen this happen in the lives of those who have followed this faith. People whose lives were once a living hell now enjoy a life that is, in both its internal and external aspects, paradise on Earth.

Jesus said: “To him who overcomes I will give permission to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” (Revelation 2.7)

Notice that access to paradise is for those who, through their total surrender on the altar, manage to overcome themselves, their feelings, their wills, and the opinions of other people and the world.

Yes, when people place their lives on the altar, they place themselves in the midst of paradise, and bring paradise into their lives. The altar is the entrance to paradise, and from there, people can overcome sickness, poverty, depression, adversaries, themselves – everything that poses a threat.

The Bible says: “To him who overcomes I will give the hidden manna to eat…” (Revelation 2.17).

In the desert, in the time of Moses, the manna was given to all people. Even unbelievers ate it. But the “hidden manna” is only for those who give themselves, who surrender and sacrifice everything – including their fathers, mothers, personal projects, boyfriends – for the faith they have. This manna is not for unbelievers. It is paradise, heaven on Earth for you, starting here and now, in this life.

Do you consider your life today a paradise?

If not, exchange hell for paradise on the altar of God.
