What do you like to do the most?

“And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh…” (Genesis 6:3)

Why did the Lord say flesh? This is because the person seeks his or her own honour and wants everything to go well, so that they can feel good about themselves.

What happens when you feel good about yourself? You demand more from others; you are not watchful; you think you are “worthy” of a position, and when another colleague is given the position instead of you, you feel that it’s unfair and you do not understand why. After all, all the attention should be focused on you. This happens when you expect something or you feel like only you are worthy of doing certain things.

When you feel good about your job, automatically, you feel independent. You know everything, you have control, you know how to manage my time, etc. – you know how to grow. However, you have to be careful with some things, which make you ‘overcome’, because they are not blessings. Blessings are not your possessions!

The proof of this is, Jesus lost everything and everyone, even being without the Father. It was after He lost everything that He was allowed to return to the Father and sit upon the throne and so, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess before Him!

The Father did this when the Lord Jesus lost everything to prove Who He was. He lost His “title” and was naked, but the worst thing was, for Him to be away from the Father. He didn’t “lose” because he had done wrong, but it was out of obedience! If the Lord Jesus had done what pleased Him, He would not have died for us on the cross, because it was not pleasing to Him to be away from the Father.

God will not act forever in those who delight themselves with earthly things and covet what pleases their eyes.

Have you already responded to the question: “What do you like to do the most?”

I had never thought about Jesus being away from the Father and to know that he did that so He could please God and save us is very humbling. I can also see that pride or inability to be humble will make it almost impossible for Gforto work in me so I must comstantly humble myself before Him and before human beings.

I understand that I don't need to feel good or like I am deserving any position in the work of God.But only when I am obedient to His words and loose myself will see Gods power in my life.

Not as I will but as GOD WILL'S, yes I have life of which I should be doing my best to get the best, but also as a follower of Jesus, I must not do to please myself or anyone, I have to do only to please God. and again I have understood that I should never accept to be far from God. Thanks
