Night of the Salt

receive the Holy Spirit,

Night of the Salt
Bishops from the Universal Church recently consecrated a portion of Dead Sea salt on Mount Carmel for the sole purpose of bringing flavour back in the people’s spiritual life. This element will be used as an act of faith during the Faith School meeting taking place in all Universal Churches.

Check out the video below to understand more:

Why is it important?

Salt is an element which is commonly used to preserve and flavour food. It’s the little touch that makes the big difference on whether a dish is bland or bursting with flavour.

This is why salt can be likened to what happens to a person when they receive the Holy Spirit. God not only adds favour to our life but helps us to keep our faith so that we may preserve and conquer our salvation through faith.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned?” (Matthew 5:13)

Has your spiritual life become ‘tasteless’? Has the upkeep of your faith become burdensome? Do you long for a deep and meaningful communion with God but don’t know where to start?

We invite you to participate in ‘Night of the Salt’ this Wednesday, 10 August at 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm) where you will receive a bit of the salt that was blessed on Mount Carmel. Whether your spiritual life is full of favour or you long to have the taste back this service is for you.
