Faith is a powerful tool that can strengthen us at the toughest moments and give us the confidence that, regardless of how difficult the situation may seem, we can overcome.
Research from the Mayo Clinic – an American academic medical centre – concluded that faith is associated with a healthier life. According to them, the outcomes of faith in health include “greater longevity, coping skills, and health-related quality of life (even during terminal illness).” They add that “several studies have shown that addressing the spiritual needs of the patient may enhance recovery from illness*.”
With this in mind, every Tuesday we hold meetings to provide spiritual support, prayer and advice for those who have been facing health problems**. Until the end of the year, we are in the faith of the Corridor of Miracles, where Pastors and Assistants form a corridor praying for the well-being of the people and determining the fulfilment of God’s promises in their lives.
“…They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16.18).
We will also give to everyone a blessed handkerchief to be used as a point of contact between them and God, as a way to awaken their faith. Join us every Tuesday at your local Universal Church. If you would like more information, please call our 24-hour helpline on 020 7686 6000.
