those who do the work of God,
On Sunday, the 5th of September, all tithers will be consecrated.
The tithe was the first thing to be separated from a person’s harvest, the 10% that belonged to God was returned first, this was done in full faith. Today it’s no different, all tithers separate the first 10% of everything they receive and return it to God. However, many people may ask; “Why should we give our tithe if we cannot see God?”, the word of God says;
“Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham”. Hebrews 7:4-5
At that time the Levites were the servants of God, and they had the commandment to receive the first fruits. Today when you present your first fruits on the Altar, those who do the work of God (pastors) have the same commandment to receive them.
The word of God continues by saying: “Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.” Hebrews 7:8
The first fruits need to be returned with the knowledge that it’s been given to God, not men. When you present them to God you are being faithful to the One who has given you everything. Your faithfulness must always be towards God no matter the circumstances. Returning the tithe is of utmost importance as a servant of God, through this, you strengthen your relationship with Him.
Don’t miss this tither’s consecration!
