The UCKG HelpCentre in Glasgow is delighted to announce that it will be welcoming its congregation back into the church to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday this year, having reopened for services on 26 March.
Pastor Fagner, the senior pastor in charge at the HelpCentre on Shettleston Road, said: “It is great that we’ve been able to reopen ahead of Holy Week, and that people can attend a place of worship in the run up to the greatest festival in the Christian calendar.”
As the Covid restrictions for Scotland currently stand, socially distanced congregations of up to 50 people are now permitted. The stay at home order is being replaced with a stay local message on Friday 2 April, which will help church-goers as well as the population at large. The core services at the HelpCentre in Glasgow will be in English, and further services will be in Portuguese for native speakers.
The schedule is as follows:
English services
These are held each weekday at 3pm and 7:30pm, except Thursdays.
Monday – Independence Project (prayer of economic security)
Tuesday – Health Day
Wednesday – Spiritual Growth
Thursday – Love Therapy (8pm)
Friday – Spiritual Cleansing
Saturday – Impossible Cases (7am)
Sundays – Empowerment/Sunday morning service (7:30am, 10am), and Bible Study (6pm).
Portuguese services
These will follow the same themes as the services in English and will take place Monday to Friday at 12noon and 6pm. The Empowerment/Sunday morning service will take place at 12noon.
For those that are vulnerable and self-isolating, or who may be in quarantine, services are being streamed daily on:

The services will be streamed Monday to Friday at 7:30pm. The main service is on Sunday at 10am. The streamed Love Therapy meetings can also be accessed by people who have to stay at home.
