God’s greatest gift, the Holy Spirit,
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)
When you want to receive God’s greatest gift, which is the Holy Spirit, you need to be willing to give your entire life to Him. You can’t think that by compromising and only giving 10%, 50% or even 99% of yourself will result in receiving all of God.
However, if you give Him 100% of your life, that is when He will honour you by giving you all of Himself. Giving 100% means choosing to obey God in every way, letting go of everything that goes against His will and abandoning your own way for His. This is shown through action, not empty words. When you have received His all, every area of your life will change.
“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.” (1 Corinthians 10:21)
Many people try to live a double life with God, but we cannot deceive ourselves; we know who we truly are. We know when we are doing wrong, even if we try to convince ourselves that we are not. And when we work tirelessly to portray something that we are not, we are being fake. But God sees right through us and that is why we can never receive His all this way.
The verse above means to entertaining the doubts, living a promiscuous life, being malicious, holding grudges, deceiving others, and choosing to live a life that has everything to do with sin and iniquity. It means being double-minded and doubting the promises of God.
Instead of giving in to negativity and fear and confessing defeat, you should determine your victory in faith! You need to overturn the table of what is wrong and surrender yourself completely to God. Choose to listen to Him instead of the voice of doubt.
It’s time to break the covenant with all that is ungodly. There is no need to fake peace and joy when you can have it for real. You can have a new life, the blessings that only God can give, and most importantly, the Holy Spirit. When you give God your will, He will give you His all.
Let today be the day that you declare that enough is enough! Decide to serve God and overturn the table once and for all!
