The Spirit of God,
The Lord Jesus praised meekness in the sermon on the mount, saying:
‘Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.’ (Matthew 5:5)
Meekness is a characteristic of those who are truly humble; because they recognise the value of other people, they reject an attitude of superiority and the sense of feeling more important than others. A meek person is respectfully submissive to the Spirit of God and to others.
