In the Bible, the Lord Jesus once sat beside a well and encountered a Samaritan woman weighed down by her circumstances and in need of more than just a drink. When He asked her for water, she did not understand why He would be talking to her. But Jesus replied:
“If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water” (John 4:10).
Jesus recognised the woman’s inner turmoil, which stemmed from a series of failed relationships. He knew her struggles—just as He knows the challenges many women face today.
The “living water” Jesus spoke of wasn’t just about satisfying physical thirst. It was an offer of eternal life, peace, and inner healing for the wounds she carried within.
