We understand the importance of offering people a warm welcoming and friendly environment, where they can hear the Word of God and develop a strong communion with Him. We have witnessed the positive impact this can have in people’s lives, which inspires us to continue our dedicated efforts to create new opportunities and share the good news of the gospel, bringing salvation to as many souls as possible.
That’s why we are delighted to announce the opening of a new Universal Church in Plymouth. With each new door we open, comes a new opportunity for the local community to know God and experience His transformative power. This new branch will offer regular worship services, providing spiritual support and community outreach initiatives to those in need. Our aim is to meet the needs of the local community in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
Pastor Daniel Guimaraes, overseeing the work in Plymouth, emphasised the significance of the new church inauguration: “This church opening will give people a home, a sanctuary where those who are hopeless can find empowerment and upliftment in God’s presence. We aim to offer something unique and special to the community, especially those who are going through suffering and problems. Previously, our services were held at a hotel, which restricted our work, but with this new church, we will be available seven days a week.”
Volunteer Yvonne Nwaiga added: “Plymouth is a port city that attracts people from all walks of life and having a Universal Church here means that the Word of God will be able to reach a wide range of people who will have the opportunity to learn an intelligent kind of faith and see practical transformations in their lives. Since moving here, I’ve found that the locals are warm and welcoming. However, due to my work I’m also aware that there are many social problems, so the outreach initiative, such as the Food Bank and the ‘Night Angels,’ will make a positive impact to the community. This city is brimming with potential and having the church in the heart of the city centre is definitely going to have a profound and positive impact on many lives. I am thrilled to be part of this day!”
