One of the main keys to success in life is the way you view things – both people and situations. As the Bible says:
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:22-23)
It is through our eyes that light or darkness enters our lives. With a positive outlook, we gain energy, joy, enthusiasm and strength. But a negative mindset produces heaviness, cynicism and undesirable outcomes.
You have the power to choose how you see any person or situation – with good or bad eyes. This has nothing to do with the devil; it is your decision whether to view things in a constructive or destructive light.
Whether it’s a delay, a loss, a problem – you can decide to look at these through a lens of positivity or negativity.
Furthermore, good eyes will make you happy with yourself and the people around you.
You will handle bad news more effectively, being full of light and good cheer. Even in the midst of challenges, you can give thanks to God, knowing that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
