This Thursday, you are invited to join us in a special purpose of faith: ‘A fast for your love life”. Based on the occasion in the Bible where Jesus taught the disciples to resist against evil using both prayer and fasting:
“However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21 NKJV)
His disciples were trying to understand why they were unable to expel a demon from a possessed young man, despite using the name of the Lord Jesus.
Jesus taught them and is teaching all of us today, the greatest weapon of faith to combat our problems, which is the combination of prayer and fasting.
That’s why, instead of fighting each other, couples should come together to resist their problem.
If you are single, you don’t have to fight alone, there are spiritual tools you can use to overcome the struggles you face, such as loneliness, rejection or insecurities.
In fact, there are hundreds of people who have acted in faith and have been honoured by God.
If what you have been doing to resolves the issues in your love life has not been working, then you are encouraged to join this fast this coming Thursday.
You can do it at your preferred time. Simply choose a meal that you will give up and present your fast to God, telling Him what you will fast for and when your chosen time to end your fast arrives, end it with a prayer, handing it over to God.
You are advised to always follow your doctor’s advice, so if your health does not permit you to fast, the Pastors will be fasting on your behalf.
