On Sunday, 21 January, the Patient Care Group (PCG) conducted its first Health Point Initiative of the year at a North London Shopping Centre.
Volunteer healthcare professionals were able to provide valuable assistance to 100 individuals by measuring their blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen and heart rate as well as offering health advice.
The event was a great success and a true blessing for everyone involved as it was a great opportunity to make a positive impact in the local community.
The organised set up of tables, chairs and equipment stirred up the curiosity of shoppers who were passing by. Many of them stopped to ask questions and even to receive the services being provided.
The overall atmosphere was cheerful, as the volunteers offered a friendly chat to the members of the public, who appreciated the amazing cause.
The volunteers of the community groups in the Universal Church always look forward to future events and opportunities to give back to their local community.
“It was one of the most beautiful experiences and I am looking forward to the next one. It’s such a pleasure to do the work of God. It gives me such joy and happiness,” explained one of the volunteers who helped on the day.
